The helicopter industry is in a shortage of experienced helicopter pilots creating an ample opportunity for new aviators to move into an exciting new career. This industry was once flooded with excessive military trained pilots do to the influx during the Vietnam war. There are many varieties of schedules pilots can have depending on what field they choose to pursue as well as a vast range of wages. Wages will range anywhere from $40,000 for part-time pilots to $150,000+ for full-time precision pilots. Schedules can be expected to be any number of the following options:
- 6 months on 6 months off
- 1 month on 1 month off
- 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
- 1 week on 1 week off
- 4 days on 3 days off
- 3 days on 4 days off
- Or Work every day provided you take at least 14 days off every phiscal quarter.
