Starting in 2008 Castor Aviation Ltd. started purchasing aircraft to lease to it's partner company Pollux Aviation Ltd. During this short time Castor Aviation discovered that there was a need for a helicopter training facility to service the Matanuska-Susitna Borough because of the frequent inquiries about flight instruction. It was only logical from there to start building a student base and to service the valley's needs.
Currently we are highly committed to building an extraordinary flight school to train new helicopter pilots. Now we are offering training for Private, Commercial, and Instructor certificates. In the future we will expand to Instrument and Instrument Instructor ratings with the potential addition of (ATP) Airline Transport Pilot certificates.
We currently own 3 Robinson R22's and 1 Robinson R44 although we have direct access to Pollux Aviation's fleet of 7 Robinson R44's and 1 Bell UH-1 Super-B.
